Our post is named in honor of Private Elijah B. Hays, who was killed in action on October 1, 1918. His family moved to Patterson in 1912 to pursue the real estate business, but moved to Washington state after all three sons were sent to train at Camp Lewis in preparation for World War I.

PRIDE (Patterson Recognizing Individuals Determined to Excel) is a community-based non-profit foundation that gives scholarships to eligible Seniors graduating from Patterson Joint Unified School District. Graduating Seniors who are eligible are notified by the College & Career Counselor and invited by email to an informational session.
